Celebrating Easter the Woolies way

As Easter approaches, Woolworths is encouraging South Africans to celebrate the season in their own unique way. For some, the holiday means gathering around the table with family, while for others it may be about outdoor adventures, Easter egg hunts or simply enjoying quiet moments before the festivities begin.

This year, Woolworths is focusing on turning everyday Easter traditions into meaningful memories, offering a range of products designed to make the long weekend feel extra special.

Adorable Easter outfits for little ones

For families celebrating Easter with babies and toddlers, Woolworths has introduced a collaboration with the beloved Dutch character Miffy. The exclusive baby range features cosy and playful pieces perfect for the Easter weekend.

Items such as the Miffy Sleep Sack and the two-pack Miffy pyjama set are designed to keep little ones comfortable while adding a festive touch to their holiday wardrobe.

Sweet treats ready for the Easter hunt

No Easter celebration would be complete without chocolate, and Woolworths has once again introduced a selection of indulgent treats for the occasion.

Among the highlights this year are Egg Joyables, combining smooth milk chocolate with a rich mousse filling. Other seasonal favourites include candy-shelled dark hens eggs and a candy-coated milk chocolate duck egg designed as a larger surprise for Easter baskets. The Easter Treat Box also offers a mix of classics, bringing together marshmallow eggs, hens eggs and colourful Fantastical™ eggs.

Woolworths notes that all of its chocolate is made using responsibly sourced cocoa through its Farming for the Future initiative, which supports sustainable farming practices and cocoa-producing communities.

Hosting Easter with a South African twist

For many households, Easter weekend is also the perfect time to host friends and family. Woolworths is catering to this tradition with a range of entertaining essentials, including braai tools from the Jan Braai collection.

The retailer has also introduced homeware items designed to elevate the Easter table, including crisp white tablecloths, rustic dinnerware and cast-iron roasting dishes ideal for preparing a traditional Easter meal.

Creating meaningful Easter moments

With a mix of festive treats, adorable outfits and hosting essentials, Woolworths aims to make sure South Africans have everything they need to celebrate the season.

While everyone’s Easter traditions may look a little different, the retailer says the spirit of the holiday remains the same: spending time together and creating joyful moments with the people who matter most.

Scene Feed Thought:
Whether it’s a chocolate egg hunt, a family braai, or dressing the little ones in festive outfits, Easter is all about the small moments that bring people together – and Woolies is clearly leaning into those traditions this season.
