Johannesburg’s TrevTober is turning five, and the milestone is being celebrated with a line-up that brings international sounds together with the best of local music.
On 24 October 2026, TrevTober will take over Mea Culpa in Sandton for its fifth edition. What started as a music celebration has grown into a lifestyle experience built around music, culture and connection.
This year’s edition promises a full day of sounds and experiences that will carry guests from afternoon into the night.
Three Spaces. One Experience.
TrevTober is switching things up for its fifth birthday. Mea Culpa will be transformed into a three-part musical journey. Guests can start in the garden before moving to the rooftop and eventually making their way to the main stage.
Each space will bring a different mood. The idea is to let the experience unfold naturally as the day progresses.
Global Sounds Meet Local Talent
The international line-up includes Omar from the UK, Frances Jaye from the USA and Marcelo Tavares from Brazil. They will be joined by South African talent including Thabo Smol, who will perform with a live band and showcase music from his latest album Dithupa Tsa Smol. Kitchen Mess will also bring its live sound to the festival.
The local line-up features a long list of DJs and selectors including Trev The Japanese, T-Bose, Nicky B, Vinny Da Vinci, Bubbles, Thabo Phalatse, Brian Blaq, Simmy and Juss Banks, among many others.
More Than a Festival
For founder Trev the Japanese, reaching five years is about celebrating the people who have helped shape TrevTober.
The festival continues to put Johannesburg at the centre of its identity. Even with international artists on the bill, its foundation remains local music and creative culture.
Powered by SAMPRA, the fifth edition aims to create an experience that feels distinctly Johannesburg while bringing different musical influences into one space.
