The resort has officially introduced South Africa’s first-ever outdoor, poolside slot and poker machines, blending luxury leisure with next-level gaming in a way local players have never experienced before.

A sweeping central staircase now leads guests down to a vibrant pool level designed as a social and entertainment hub. At the heart of the space is a DJ island, pumping curated soundscapes from day into night, while guests float between swimming, sunbathing, dancing and now gaming.
Six countertop gaming machines have been installed directly at the poolside bar, offering slot games, poker, and roulette. Available to MVG members and day card holders, the machines are identical to those inside the casino, complete with multiple betting denominations and the same trusted technology, just with a lot more sunshine.
According to Sun City General Manager Brett Hoppé, the upgrade signals a shift in how luxury resorts are defining entertainment. He says the refreshed Sun Terrace and pool area has evolved into a cultural and lifestyle destination, offering everything from relaxed daytime moments to energetic nightlife, all in one space.
Inside the casino: new upgrades for serious players
While the poolside machines are stealing the spotlight, Sun City hasn’t forgotten its indoor gaming loyalists. The casino floor has also been refreshed ahead of the busy season, with improved layout flow and new slot titles added.
