Starbucks South Africa Launches Pistachio Drinks Menu for Summer 2026

As 2026 settles in, the energy around extreme New Year’s resolutions is giving way to something softer: everyday rituals that feel manageable and meaningful. Tapping into that shift, Starbucks South Africa has introduced a limited-time pistachio range designed to turn small coffee breaks into seasonal moments worth savouring.

Five Pistachio Drinks Take Centre Stage This Summer

The new collection features three additions to the menu: the Pistachio Shaken Espresso, Pistachio Macchiato and Pistachio Matcha Latte; a blend of matcha green tea and white chocolate pistachio sauce. Returning favourites include the Pistachio Velvet Latte and Pistachio Hot Chocolate, both available hot or iced to suit the summer mood.

The expanded five-drink lineup reflects a growing appetite for flavour-driven experiences that feel indulgent but familiar. Pistachio’s nutty sweetness adds a subtle twist without overpowering the classic café profile customers expect.

According to Adrian Mazey, CEO of Rand Capital Coffee, licensee of Starbucks South Africa, the timing speaks to a broader behavioural shift.

“Simple rituals like a drink you look forward to or a pause in the middle of a busy day can become a natural part of everyday life,” he notes. “It’s less about big intentions and more about moments that feel good and easy to return to.”

Guatemala Casi Cielo Returns for Coffee Purists

Alongside the pistachio collection, Starbucks is also reintroducing Guatemala Casi Cielo, a single-origin coffee first launched in 2004. Sourced from the Antigua region of Guatemala, the limited-edition roast offers bright lemon and cocoa notes, positioned for slower mornings or reflective afternoon breaks.

The pairing of bold seasonal flavours with heritage single-origin coffee highlights Starbucks’ dual focus on innovation and tradition.

Summer Merchandise to Match the Mood

Two new merchandise collections launch alongside the drinks: Tropical Radiance, featuring coral florals, and Summer Breeze, designed in cool teal tones. Reusable tumblers and bottles extend the ritual beyond the café space, aligning with growing sustainability preferences.

The pistachio range and select merchandise will be available nationwide until late February.

Scene Feed Thought: Maybe 2026 isn’t about reinventing your whole life. Maybe it’s just about finding one small ritual, and showing up for it daily.
