Pretoria shoppers got a taste of breakfast like never before as Kellogg’s South Africa launched the Power Breakfast Café at Menlyn Mall, running from 11 to 14 December. The immersive pop-up transformed the everyday breakfast routine into a creative, sensory-driven experience that celebrated flavour, balance, and the versatility of the Kellogg’s range.
A Breakfast Pop-Up Designed to Engage All Five Senses
The Power Breakfast Café was more than a pop-up; it was a fully curated breakfast environment. Visitors were welcomed by the aroma of warm chocolate, fresh fruit, and brewed coffee alongside visually striking cereal-infused pastries and signature breakfast creations. Every detail was designed to showcase how breakfast can be both nourishing and indulgent, playful yet energising.

Rather than focusing on convenience alone, the café leaned into exploration, encouraging guests to rethink breakfast as a moment of creativity and self-expression.
Influencers and Media Explore Creative Power Breakfast Builds
Culinary expert Neo Nontso guided guests through the experience as MC, while a dynamic group of influencers, including Bheki Ndamase, George Mnguni, Sibu Mpanza, and TikTok star Gloria Ngcobo, took part in the activation. Influencers and media created their own Power Breakfast combinations, sampled cereal-inspired pastries, and explored the café’s interactive zones.

One of the standout features was an ASMR sound zone, designed to evoke calm, focus, and creativity, highlighting breakfast as a mindful start to the day rather than a rushed task.
Kellogg’s Responds to Changing South African Breakfast Trends
According to Tamsin Darroch, Marketing Director for Kellogg’s South Africa, the café reflects a growing shift in consumer behaviour. “People are becoming far more creative and intentional about how they build their meals,” she said. “The Power Breakfast Café demonstrated the beauty of our products, from nourishing options to indulgent treats, and celebrated all the ways South Africans enjoy breakfast today.”
Scene Feed Thought
The Power Breakfast Café proved that breakfast isn’t just the first meal of the day; it’s a moment. At Menlyn Mall, Kellogg’s showed that starting the day strong can be immersive, inspiring, and deliciously creative.
