South African actress Angelique Gerber and entrepreneur and former Mrs South Africa 2020 Jacqueline Ferns are taking honest conversations to YouTube with the launch of their new talk platform, Unscripted with Angie and Jacs.
The duo officially unveiled the series at a glamorous black-and-gold launch event held at Amazon Restaurant in Menlyn, where guests gathered to celebrate a project aimed at creating space for the conversations many women have behind closed doors, but rarely in public.
Keeping It Real
Unlike the polished highlight reels often seen online, Unscripted promises open and authentic discussions about the realities of modern womanhood.
The series explores topics including relationships, marriage, heartbreak, motherhood, faith, identity, body image, parenting, emotional resilience and the pressures women face while trying to balance it all.
Each episode will also feature guest experts and inspiring voices who will share professional insight and personal experiences on issues affecting women, families and communities.
Two Women, One Shared Vision

Angelique Gerber is no stranger to South African television, having appeared in productions including 7de Laan, Boer Soek ‘n Vrou, Family Secrets and Diepe Waters.
Joining her is Jacqueline Ferns, who has built her profile through entrepreneurship, leadership and advocacy for women following her reign as Mrs South Africa in 2020.
Speaking about the new platform, Gerber says the goal is to create a space that feels genuine rather than performative.
“Unscripted was created to be honest, not polished. It’s a space for the conversations women are already having with their closest friends – just finally out loud, with depth, humour, heart and the right people in the room.“
Ferns adds that the show is about tackling the conversations that matter, even when they’re uncomfortable.
Where to Watch
Unscripted with Angie and Jacs is now streaming on YouTube, with new episodes expected to continue exploring the challenges, triumphs and everyday realities of modern women.
The Scene Feed Take
Podcasts and YouTube talk shows are having a major moment, but what makes Unscripted stand out is its focus on conversations that often stay behind closed doors. If you’re looking for honest discussions that go beyond the highlight reel, this could be one to add to your watch list.
