Three-time Grammy award-winning hitmaker NE-YO is heading back to South Africa this October as part of his international tour, bringing his signature R&B sound back to local fans.
Tour Stops Confirmed for Cape Town and Pretoria
NE-YO will take the stage at Grand Arena, Grand West in Cape Town on Saturday, 17 October, before heading to SunBet Arena in Pretoria on Sunday, 18 October. Both shows form part of his global tour run.
Hits Fans Still Sing Along To
With a catalogue sitting at over 23 billion global streams, NE-YO’s music still lives rent-free in playlists worldwide. His breakout single So Sick shot to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2005 and went quadruple-platinum, setting the tone for a career packed with R&B staples like Sexy Love, Closer, Because of You, Miss Independent, and Push Back featuring Bebe Rexha and Stefflon Don.
The Pen Behind the Hits
Beyond his own voice, NE-YO has quietly shaped some of the biggest songs in modern music. From Rihanna’s Unfaithful, Russian Roulette, and Take a Bow to Beyoncé’s Irreplaceable, his writing credits sit behind a long list of global hits. He has also written for artists including Jennifer Hudson, Usher, Carrie Underwood, Celine Dion, and Mario.
More Than Music
NE-YO’s career has also crossed into film and television, with appearances in Empire, World of Dance, BMF, Stomp the Yard, Save the Last Dance, Battle: Los Angeles, Red Tails, The Wiz Live!, Step Up: High Water, Hip Hop Family Christmas Wedding, and The Sound of Christmas. He is also preparing to release a country-inspired album titled Highway 79 on the 10th July.
Tickets and Show Details
Tickets will be available via Webtickets (www.webtickets.co.za) and Pick n Pay stores nationwide, starting from R950. Gates open at 18:00 on both show nights.
The Scene Feed Take
NE-YO isn’t just pulling up to perform he’s pulling up with an entire era. The songs you forgot you knew, the ones you still know every word to, and the ones that somehow never left your playlist.
This is one of those shows where you don’t just watch the performance… you end up singing like nobody’s watching anyway. Cape Town and Pretoria, consider this your warning.
