340ml Is Trading Its Name for 330ml in a Fresh Windhoek Lager Collab

South African band 340ml is changing its name, but only for a little while.

The band has teamed up with Windhoek Lager to celebrate the return of its much-loved 330ml Lager bottle. As part of the collaboration, 340ml will temporarily become 330ml.

It is a fun partnership that brings together music, friendship and the joy of enjoying a good midweek moment.

Real Music, Real Connections

The collaboration feels like a natural fit.

Windhoek Lager has built its identity around authenticity, with its “100% Real Beer for real people” positioning. 340ml has also created a distinctive place for itself in South African music, with a sound shaped by the chemistry and shared history of its four members.

The partnership also comes at an exciting time for the band. After some time away from performing together, the four musicians have reunited and returned to the stage. Now, they are bringing that energy into a brand-new collaboration.

Say Hello to Midweek Sessions

The partnership launches Windhoek Beer’s new Midweek Sessions, a series of intimate live music experiences designed to encourage South Africans to make time for music, conversation and connection during the week.

The first session takes place on Wednesday, 9 September 2026, at Katy’s Palace Bar in Kramerville.

Guests can expect a live performance from 340ml, alongside an evening built around good music, good company and, of course, Windhoek Lager.

330ml Is Back

The return of the 330ml Windhoek Lager bottle follows consumer demand for the familiar format.

While the bottle is making its comeback, everything that fans love about 340ml remains the same. It is still the same four musicians, with the same creative chemistry and distinctive sound.

For a limited time, however, they will be known as 330ml.

Scene Feed Thought

There is something special about finding a reason to enjoy the middle of the week. For many of us, Monday to Thursday can feel like a countdown to Friday. We get through work, deal with the traffic and tell ourselves we will have fun when the weekend finally arrives. But perhaps we need to rethink that.

A good live performance, your favourite people and a cold beer can turn an ordinary Wednesday into a memory worth keeping. That is what makes the idea behind Windhoek’s Midweek Sessions so refreshing. The 340ml collaboration takes that idea one step further. It brings together two familiar names, gives both of them a playful new twist and creates a reason to connect.

The name 330ml might only be temporary, but the idea of making more time for music, friends and spontaneous moments does not have to be.
