South Africa’s vibrant music scene is set for another major cultural moment as Ziyakhala Mo Sun City returns to the iconic Sun City Superbowl on Saturday, 27 June 2026. Following a successful debut in 2025, the second edition promises an even bigger celebration of music, heritage and national pride.

A Celebration of Culture, Music and Identity

In partnership with the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) and its African Language Stations, the event continues its mission to spotlight indigenous music and cultural diversity. Broadcasting in multiple South African languages, the SABC brings its mandate of informing, educating and entertaining to life through this large-scale live experience.

Ziyakhala Mo Sun City is positioned as more than just a concert. It’s a cultural movement rooted in unity, storytelling and shared identity, using music as a powerful connector across communities.

A Powerful Lineup of Local Talent

This year’s lineup brings together a mix of legends and contemporary stars across genres. Audiences can expect performances from Mafikizolo, Khuli Chana, Young Stunna, Khuzani, and Dr. Colbert Mukwevho, alongside rising and regional stars like Shandesh and Phumla Music.

The diverse lineup reflects the richness of South Africa’s music landscape, blending genres such as amapiano, afro-pop, maskandi, reggae and traditional sounds into one immersive experience.

Building on a Successful Debut

The inaugural edition in 2025 set a high standard, drawing a sold-out crowd and delivering a dynamic showcase of performances while also honouring music legends for their contribution to the industry. Organisers say the 2026 edition will build on that momentum, offering an even more elevated production and curated experience.

Event Details

The event takes place on Saturday, 27 June 2026 at the Sun City Superbowl, with doors opening at 14:00. Tickets are available via Ticketpro, starting from R350, with VIP packages going up to R1750. Ticket holders will also have access to the broader Sun City Resort experience.

Scene Feed Thought

Ziyakhala Mo Sun City is quickly becoming one of the most important cultural events on the local calendar. It’s not just about the performances – it’s about representation, language, and celebrating the sounds that shape South African identity. With such a strong lineup and a powerful cultural message, this year’s edition feels like a must-attend moment for music lovers.
