Cape Town is about to glow golden again with the Corona Sunsets Festival is officially returning to Clifton on Saturday, 21 March 2026, marking 10 years of the global festival series in South Africa.
From Joburg’s Magic to Cape Town’s Coastline
Fresh from a sold-out Johannesburg edition that pulled in 12,000 festivalgoers at Casalinga in Muldersdrift, Corona Sunsets is ready to bring its signature mix of music, art, and golden-hour magic back to the Mother City. The Cape Town stop promises not only world-class performances but also a deeper celebration of nature, connection, and mindful living.
More Than Music: What Festivalgoers Can Expect
Corona Sunsets has built its reputation on being “more than a music festival”, and Clifton 2026 will be no different. Think wellness workshops on the sand, sustainable food gardens, live art performances, and interactive experiences that engage all the senses.
At the Johannesburg edition, the More Than Music Pavilion hosted mindfulness leaders like Dr. Anesu Mbizvo and Mandla Enoch (African Dragonfly), alongside changemakers pushing the Protect Our Sunset sustainability initiative. Cape Town festivalgoers can expect the same energy, with even bigger moments to mark a decade of sunsets.

Corona Celebrates 100 Years Under the Sun
Speaking on the return, Melanie Nicholson, Head of Brand: Corona South Africa, said: “Cape Town holds a special place in the Corona Sunsets journey. Bringing the festival back to this incredible city, with its sunsets, coastline, and vibrant music culture, feels like coming home. As we celebrate 100 years under the sun, we can’t wait to create more golden-hour memories together with Cape Town.”
Big Performances, Big Partnerships
Joburg’s 2025 line-up set the bar high, with Major League DJz, DBN Gogo, Jeremy Loops, Zakes Bantwini, DJ Kent, and the Ndlovu Youth Choir taking crowds on an unforgettable journey. Add in aerial performances, a Corona hot air balloon, and Daniel Popper’s towering art installation, and it’s clear the festival is committed to fusing music with larger-than-life experiences.
And for the first time this year, the festival partnered with the SABC, broadcasting live across SABC 1, S3, and SABC Plus, taking the golden hour magic into millions of homes nationwide.
